I hav often said that the best training in our tow bizz is experience. And yet even the so called experts especially the younger studs, need the sage advice of us in this profession more than ever. And long b4 the young studs are sent on a run by themselves.
Case-n-point, Greyhound calls, yes we have their contract here. So the by mistake called Kearns Towing out of Utah, no big except, the youngn's doing the hook up were completely oblivious on what the hell they were doing. Ultimately they had to call us. We got the job done, loaded and in transport, but damn it the owners of Kearns ought to have trained better.
Whether its Donny Cruise's WreckMaster or any other certification program , certification is nothing without practicle knowledge.
In my opinion, these training certification courses need to be taught in a more classroom as well as on scene programs through say a University or Vo-Tech school,
